Killeen House Hotel Newsletter

Christmas 2010

Your Killarney Home away from Home

Newsletter No. 12

In this issue

HELLO EVERYONE,

All of us here in the Killeen House wish you and all yours a wonderfully Happy Christmas and a stunningly sparkling 2011. May the year ahead be all that you wish it to be - multiplied by ten.....! (Factor in a trip to the Killeen House in your plans over the next 12 months and you'll be sure to get a head start on happiness!)

Things have been kind of tough for most of us involved in the Irish Hotel Industry over the last couple of years, and - even though things are starting to look up again - we're not at all sure that things are going to improve too dramatically in 2011. But thankfully we in the Killeen House have enjoyed the loyalty and support of many, many Guests, both first time and repeat. For this Michael & Geraldine thank you.....our kids thank you...our great team thank you.....our suppliers thank you...and our Bank Manager thanks you...!

We hope you enjoy our little Newsletter and please know that if we can ever help you in any way with your holiday plans, you need only contact us and we will be honoured to render all possible advice and assistance to you

A NEW PROMOTIONAL VIDEO FOR THE KILLEEN HOUSE

Greg Manahan is a great friend to all of us here in the Killeen House who we have known for more years than any of us care to remember. He is one of the country's leading Audio/Visual experts, and his highly successful group provides services to a range of national and international companies all over Ireland.

A big part of his work is producing promotional videos for various goods and services and he has just recently completed a short video on the Killeen House which we are absolutely thrilled with

We are delighted to introduce it to an unsuspecting World public via this Newsletter and we will soon also be putting it up on both You Tube and on our website

We hope you enjoy it and we would be truly appreciative if you would pass it along to your friends.....

2010 PHOTOGRAPHIC COMPETITION.

To all those who took part in this year's Killeen House Competition - a million thanks!!! You brightened people's days.....you bought smiles to people's faces.....and you bought back happy memories to people who had been on an Irish holiday.....!

You also gave the three judges some very difficult decisions to make, because the quality of so many of the entries was absolutely brilliant...

In any case, they agonised, debated and pulled their own (and each other's!) hair out, before finally reaching a decision

There is a Viewer's Prize for the most commented upon photo. This prize is one night of dinner, bed and breakfast for two people, in a double/twin room in the Killeen House and time during the 2011 summer season

There are four Special Merit Prizes for what the judges considered to be photographs especially worthy of mention. Each winner receives a prize of two nights of bed and breakfast, with dinner on one evening, for two people, in a double/twin room in the Killeen House

And there is the Killeen House Hotel 2010 Photograph of the Year. The winner receives a prize of three nights of bed and breakfast, with one evening dinner, for two people, in a deluxe bedroom in the Killeen House

(Please note that all the prizes are subject to availability of rooms at time of booking and exclude certain specific dates, like Bank Holiday weekends, for example)

And here they are ladies and gentlemen, the WINNERS in this year's Killeen House Photographic Competition...

KILLEEN HOUSE RELOCATES ... YES, WE ARE ON THE MOVE

We have been on FaceBook now for over a year and we are now connected to many of our friends and past guests from around the world - a staggering 1,619 of them to be exact !
We enjoy sending out our WWW Friday update every week and of course holding the very popular Irish photo competition that has now become an annual affair.
However we have been informed that it would be best to move our account from a 'personal' account to a 'business' account, even if we do consider ourselves to be more a personal business than a business business.

So with that we would like to invite you all to

and please suggest the page to all your friends !!
