The Killeen House has cemented itself into our hearts as our favorite place on Earth. On June 12, 2006, Lance asked me to marry him right there in the pub of the hotel! Charlie got the whole thing captured on our camera, to be remembered for the rest of our lives. Michael and Geraldine truly made it the best day of our lives (thus far). Never have we felt so welcomed or a part of a family at a hotel as we did at the Killeen House. We love to tell the story of how he got on his knee in the pub and about the champagne, the food, the atmosphere and mostly the Rosneys. Thank you all for making our day so special! We have been home 2 weeks and have been telling everyone what a wonderful time we had at the Killeen House. It was our favorite spot. You made us feel welcome; the staff was like one of the family; and all the travelers we met were wonderful. Thank you again. Also, we are planning another trip with 3 other couples for next September 2006 and will be contacting you to see what we can arrange through you.
Just a quick note to let you know we arrived home safely. I took a handful of business cards before we left and fully intend to distribute them to all future Ireland travelers I run across! Even though it was our third trip to Ireland, and I already knew I loved it there, our experience at Killeen House made it better than ever. Your warm hospitality truly made us feel like we were returning "home" after a rough day on the links. We've traveled extensively, and I have never had a more personal, enjoyable experience then we did at Killeen House. Thank you both so very much, we will be guests again in the future for sure!
Back again in our village named Jokkmokk situated in Swedish Lapland. Thinking of our stay at your wonderful hotel during our tour through Kerry. Thank you for your service and your delicious meals. We hope you some day will find your way up to our part of the world...far above the arctic circle.You are so very welcome. 2 hours drive north from Jokkmokk there is a hotel you just have to visit... Jukkasjarvi Ice Hotel. Itīs opened during the Winter seasons until April...then it melts down! Bring warm clothes! Once again thank you and we will come back with our friends to Killeen House Hotel next time we visit your wonderful country Eire.
Geraldine and Micheal, Sorry to say that Les and I were at the wrong end of the leaderboard as the 2005 McCraw Classic concluded at Royal County Down. Trey held a 3 shot lead going into the final round and shot 79 but John shot a 76 to tie him so for the first time ever we had co-champions. Thanks again for your warmth and laughter at your fine establishment. You were hands down our favorite place to stay and we appreciate all the small details that were constantly addressed that only a couple who takes great pride in their operation could anticipate. A "drying room?"--brilliant. Trey was very impressed that he was addressed by his first name by "someone I hadn't even met". If your US travels find yourselves in Atlanta or Greenville, SC consider the door open for a visit--a fantastic course called Chanticleer awaits. Cheers, James
Without a doubt, Killeen House was one of our finest guest experiences. Michael and Geraldine were marvelous. You felt like family and were treated as such. And of couse, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the wonderful dining experience. Definitely the finest food in Ireland. And Michael runs a mean bar. In a word "AWESOME"! Thanks Michael & Geraldine.
Our dinner at Rozzers was superb - one of the best we've had anywhere at anytime - we're so glad our neighbors recommended we dine here for the best meal in Ireland...even if Michael did make me eat all my dinner (no hardship) before he would tell me what was for dessert! Enjoyed the predinner drinks in the wee pub ....this was the perfect ending to our family Ireland vacation - next time we'll be staying at the Killeen House too. A perfect 10 from hospitality to food to atmosphere from start to finish.
Geraldine & Michael, Your hospitality, service & charming personalities turned our great trip into an absolutly fabulous one! Just sorry I didn't have more logo balls to add to Michael's collection. Any future trip to Ireland will definitely include a stay at the Killeen House
