Will someone please anwser a question that has been bugging me for years

A baseball player can hit a ball that’s flying at him at 100 miles per hour, spinning unpredictably, and with thousands of people shouting their lungs out at him…..

Yet, on a tee box, a golfer needs to have complete silence to hit a golf ball that is absolutely stationary and perfectly set up to be hit……

Why is this?

Is it because of the respective traditions of the game? Or is there a much deeper and more profound psychological issue at play that my limited number of brain cells cannot fully comprehend?

Will someone please enlighten me…..!
