If I had said to someone a month or so ago that Ireland would basically be closed down to all inbound and outbound travellers, because of Icelandic volcano ash in the air, I suspect I would instantly have been surrounded by a posse of burly men in white coats, armed with massive syringes full of horse tranquiliser…….

A baseball
player can hit a ball that’s flying at him at 100 miles per hour,
spinning unpredictably, and with thousands of people shouting their
lungs out at him…..
Yet, on a tee
box, a golfer needs to have complete silence to hit a golf ball that
is absolutely stationary and perfectly set up to be hit……
Why is this?
